The French expression “coup de cœur” translates as ‘favorite’ in English and is used to describe something of strong personal affection or interest. In this month’s Coup de Cœur post, I’m sharing my favorites from December 2023.

A.P.C. Grace Baguette Bag. This year, I was on the hunt for an everyday shoulder bag. The A.P.C. Grace Baguette Bag frequently caught my eye. Not only am I obsessed with the slim silhouette, but the gorgeous honey color is perfect for my warm spring color palette. I purchased it on sale here in France this month, and it has become a staple already. If you're in the market for a high-quality bag at a mid-range price point, I highly recommend this A.P.C. option or any from their collection. Currently, there's a fantastic 50% discount on SSENSE!

Uniqlo Souffle Yarn High Neck Long-Sleeve Sweater. This month I needed a few basic sweaters in my winter wardrobe, but I didn’t want to splurge. I found this high neck sweater from Uniqlo for under $50, and it’s been on my outfit rotation frequently this month. So far, the piling has been minimal, and it’s kept me quite warm, even on the colder days. I’ve been pairing it with jeans and suede boots for a casual outing or layering it under a blazer and with statement earrings for a more polished ensemble. Highly recommend checking out Uniqlo for affordable wardrobe essentials.

KOSAS Revealer Concealer. My trusty NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer finally ran out this month, so I decided to test out something new. I’ve been seeing the KOSAS Revealer Concealer on my TikTok feed for months now, so I decided to purchase it on sale on Black Friday. I’m truly obsessed with its creamy texture; it's a dream for my dry skin during the colder months. It’s not my favorite concealer for covering up acne, but it works wonders for brightening my under-eyes. I opted for shade 0.5, and it's been a game-changer.

The Perfectionist's Guide to Losing Control. If you’re a self-proclaimed perfectionist like myself, then you’ll likely enjoy one of my recent reads: The Perfectionist's Guide to Losing Control. It’s a to challenge the way we look at perfectionism (and at ourselves), and it’s helped shift my own perspective. It also offers a lot of practical steps to take if you want to “lose control” and aim high without overthinking or punishing yourself. I highly suggest giving it a read, especially if you need some new year inspiration. I listened to it on Spotify for free with my premium subscription.

Saltburn. I joined the hype and watched Saltburn this month. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect based on the vague comments I heard about “that scene”. I surprisngly really enjoyed the film, especially the stunning visuals and incredible cast. It's worth noting, though, that this isn't exactly a family-friendly flick. However, if you're open-minded, I would highly recommend experiencing this movie.

NYT Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies. The holiday season always gets me in the mood to bake. This month, I tested two recipes from the 2023 NYT Holiday Cookies list — the Technicolor Cookies and the Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies. Both were delicious, but the Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies were my favorite. If you love a rich, chocolatey sweet, then these are an absolute must-try. They’re not very holiday-themed, making them a perfect indulgence for the last few months of winter.
