The French expression “coup de cœur” translates as ‘favorite’ in English and is used to describe something of strong personal affection or interest. In this month’s Coup de Cœur post, I’m sharing my favorites from July 2023.

Reformation knit tops. If you’re looking for wardrobe basics that feel a bit more elevated, check out the knit tops from Reformation. I purchased the Cello Knit Top in cream at the beginning of the month, and it has become my go-to top throughout July. Perfect for sunny days and breezy evenings, I’ve been pairing it with white denim and strappy sandals for a day-to-night summer look. I’m also eyeing the Dusk Knit Top that exudes quiet luxury.

Muuñ George Basket Bag. I've been obsessed with the George basket bag from Muuñ this month. It’s been my go-to for city strollss, picnics, and everything in between. Plus, it's surprisingly roomy, so I can pack all my summer essentials without a worry. The best part? It’s under $200. If you’re looking for an affordable accessory for your summer wardrobe, definitely consider any of the basket bags from Muuñ.

Summer sale finds. The summer sales arrived in France this month, and I found some real gems, including colorful tops, transitional outerwear and chic sandals. I enjoyed picking out some new pieces for my summer-to-fall wardrobe from brands like Sandro, Maje and Ba&sh. Shop my favorite finds below.

Kusmi Spearmint Tea. Since starting tretinoin in March, I have been struggling with breakouts. After researching some natural remedies to soothe my acne, I decided to try spearmint tea. Every night, I make it a part of my end-of-day ritual. Spearmint tea is known for its inflammation-reducing properties and its ability to calm acne. I have noticed such a positive change in my skin since adding this tea into my routine.

Barbie (2023). I couldn't resist seeing the Barbie movie this month. While I’m not a Barbie super fan, I really enjoyed dressing up in pink and watching the film with so many other viewers. It was so nostalgic, but at the same time, I appreciated it’s very modern message. If you haven't watched it yet, trust me, it's an absolute must-see!

Circe. This month I finally got around to reading Circe, the best-selling historical fiction and fantasy novel written by Madeline Miller. It's a retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Circe, the lesser-known goddess with the power of transformation and magic. The book explores themes of self-discovery, empowerment, and offers a feminist perspective on an overlooked character in ancient mythology. Although I’m not normally a fan of Greek mythology, "Circe" turned out to be a real page-turner for me. Definitely recommend!
