Weather in Paris in June
Paris weather in June brings long, warm (and sometimes hot) days. While you can generally expect a mix of sun and clouds, light rain showers can still pop up, especially in the early part of the month. However, there is usually not too much rain or humidity. I often suggest packing a compact umbrella for travel, but in June you probably won’t need it.
Throughout June, average daytime temperatures in Paris typically range from 60°F (16°C) to 75°F (24°C).
One of the best parts about visiting Paris in June is the long daylight hours. With sunrises around 6:00 AM and sunsets close to 10:00 PM, you’ll have ample time to enjoy the city. It tends to cool off in the evenings, so a light jacket or sweater is a smart addition to your suitcase. I also recommend keeping an eye on the forecast before you leave so you can adjust your travel wardrobe accordingly.
But overall, June offers some of the most pleasant weather for visiting Paris.

What to Wear in Paris in June
Dresses
Paris in June calls for dresses, dresses, dresses. The weather is warm, but too hot, which makes it the perfect time to lean into one-and-done outfits.
Start with a midi dress (similar). It gives just the right amount of coverage, which you’ll appreciate when you’re sitting on the metro or a park bench. It's also ideal for walking around during the day but can still work for dinner. I’d suggest cotton or linen fabrics that are both breathable and feel good in the heat.
On that same note, maxi styles work beautifully too. I love them with strappy sandals or a block heel.
As the days heat up, it’s the perfect excuse to bring out a few mini or sleeveless dresses. I’m obsessed with this polka-dot number from Doen (similar) that’s both feminine and flirty for your Parisian wardrobe. Style it with Mary Janes and a cardigan if it gets a bit chilly.
If your nights involve dining at nicer restaurants, I’d also bring a slip dress. It takes up almost no space in a suitcase and always feels incredibly elevated. Heels dress it up. Flats make it feel effortlessly cool.
A shirt dress is also another stylish option if you want to feel more polished. I wore one on my last trip with white sneakers (a combo I swear by when traveling). The Reformation Liora Dress is one that I’ve been considering for a while. I love that it’s long-sleeved, but still perfectly appropriate for summer.
In terms of prints and colors, I’d recommend florals, polka dots, stripes and solid neutrals for Paris this June.

Tops
A selection of lightweight blouses and button-down shirts are always in my suitcase for June in Paris.
A crisp white button-down is a clear classic. The Frankie Shop Lui Shirt is my favorite choice that has a relaxed fit without feeling too oversized. I also love the Tomboy Shirt from Sézane. It comes in a variety of colors and prints, but the blue stripes would be my first pick.

Linen and poplin cotton are two fabrics that will keep you cool in the Parisian heat. I’ve added this short-sleeved linen shirt (similar) from Reformation to my packing list. It’s a subtle nod to stripes without looking too cliché.
When planning what to pack in Paris in June, a few feminine blouses are a must. With Dôen being a major brand to shop this season, you’ll find no shortage of romantic options that feel perfectly Parisian. Their Henri Top (similar) is especially popular right now. I, too, love all of the ruffles and lacey trim.
I’ve also found some gorgeous tops from Reformation. The Cristina Lace Top (similar), the Anabella Linen Top, and the Juni Top would all be my top picks for Paris this summer.
Last but not least, don’t forget a few basic tops and tees. I like a couple of plain white t-shirts as well as some tank tops. You can easily pair them with skirts, jeans or even tailoring depending on the occasion.
Bottoms
Warmer days in Paris mean you can show a little more skin. I love a tailored short like this black linen pair from H&M that are not too revealing and just structured enough.
If shorts aren’t for you, you can never go wrong with tailored trousers. They’ll keep you looking refined while offering a bit more coverage (which is never a bad thing in the city). The Mason Pant from Ref is a great option, no matter which color you choose. These straight-leg slacks are another do-it-all option (and they’re just $54).
I also love a cropped pant like the Tanya Knit Pant. It’s not as short as a capri but has just the right amount of crop and flare (and how it’s styled on the model is incredibly chic for Paris!). I found a similar pair for less from Everlane.
June is the perfect time to add a few skirts to your travel wardrobe. Mini, midi, or maxi—whatever you please, pack it. I’m currently loving the Staud Procida Skirt. You can easily style it with slim sneakers for daytime and dress it up with heeled mules for dinner.
I’ve also been spotting tons of white poplin skirts in Paris lately, which is another chic option for the summer months.
Jeans
Jeans are another staple on my Paris packing list, no matter the season. Wear them for daytime sightseeing, then casual drinks at a bar in the evening.
I’ve seen all types of denim styles in Paris, but for summer, I’d pack one or two pairs of straight-leg or relaxed denim in a light or medium wash. The Reformation Cynthia Jeans are one of the most flattering straight-leg jeans that I’ve tested (and that you can wear year-round). Another a tried-and-true denim brand is Levi’s. If you’re on the taller side like me (5’8), I recommend the Ribcage Full Length Jeans which are an amazing under-$100 option.
Skinny jeans are also gaining popularity again, and I’ve slowly started seeing more Parisians wearing them. I would skip on these during the warm months, but ultimately, go with whatever you feel best in!
I’d also add a white or ecru pair for something fresh and seasonal.
Outerwear
While most days are sunny and warm, June in Paris can get chilly, especially at night. It’s also smart to have a layer on hand when visiting churches or other religious sites, where covering your shoulders is often expected. I can’t recommend enough including a light jacket or sweater on your packing list.
The Sézane Terry Jacket is one that’s high on my wishlist this season. It’s perfectly lightweight and casual for summer layering. You can also pair it with matching jeans for a denim-on-denim look.
Another easy-to-pack option for Paris is a simple cardigan. Throw it on over dresses or tanks for a quick extra layer that’s not too heavy. Right now, J.Crew has tons of lovely colors to choose from in their featherweight cashmere cardigan.
I’ve also been into ponchos and shawls. Here me out, these are perfect for summer evenings when you need something light, but still elevated. Something like this sheer silk wrap from Eileen Fisher would look incredibly chic styled with tailored trousers and heeled sandals. Parfait.
I would also suggest something a bit smarter for evenings. If your itinerary includes chic restaurants or evenings at the Opera, a blazer is a more polished option. At the moment I’m loving this structured linen option, which works just as well with denim and flats as it does with a silky cami and heels for a night out.

Just be mindful of materials, since some blazers tend to wrinkle more easily. I’d suggest packing a travel steamer or running a hot shower at your hotel or AirBnb to keep it nice n’ crisp.
For an effortlessly cool vibe, a leather perfecto and bomber jacket make great options for Paris. You likely won’t need it during the day, but don’t be fooled by warm afternoons. Paris evenings can get surprisingly cool in June, especially if you’re dining or drinking al fresco. Trust me, you’ll be glad to have another layer.
Shoes
You’ll definitely need a trusty pair of walking shoes for Paris, no matter the season. Classic white sneakers like the Esplar and Campo from Veja are a perennial favorite of Parisians. They’re stylish enough to pair with trousers, skirts, and dresses while keeping you comfortable for all of the steps you’ll take (I normally average around 20,000 a day!).
While not recommended for all-day sightseeing, ballet flats are a chic choice for Paris in June. I’ve worn my Repetto Cendrillon Ballet Flats for years, and they are some of the best ones to buy—you might even decide to pick some up while you’re in Paris! What’s also great about ballet flats is that they take up barely any space in your luggage.
Another great summer shoe for Paris are Mary Janes. I’ve been seeing more and more of them in France lately, especially on my recent trip to the French capital. I’m currently eyeing this chic square-toe pair from Everlane. They come in five different colors, but for summer, I’m partial to the white pair!
For Parisian soirées, a kitten heel is the way to go. Unless you plan to Uber everywhere, a high heel won’t be very practical for walking to dinner and drinks. The Otto Mules from Staud are such an elegant option, not too tall either. This pair from Tony Bianco looks almost the same (plus they have a thicker heel) for a lot less.
And what about sandals in Paris? With the weather warming up, they’re definitely worth packing. Just make sure to choose a pair with proper support rather than flimsy flip-flops. I would suggest a chunkier sandal if you plan to do a lot of walking.
Bags
A day bag is a must for Paris, especially one that’s comfortable to carry for hours and keeps your essentials secure (since pickpocketing can be an issue in crowded areas). A crossbody bag makes it easy to grab your metro tickets, wallet, and sunglasses while on the go.
I love something convertible like the A.P.C. Sarah Shoulder Strap Bag for the most versatility. It has an adjustable strap so you can wear it on the shoulder or across the chest, or detach it for top-handle carrying. Practical and oh-so-chic.
Summer calls for a chic basket bag, and Muun always has some of the best. I’m especially loving this honeypot-shaped bag. It’s so adorable and comes with a long strap so you can wear it crossbody (a must when you’re out and about all day). If you need something roomier, a classic woven tote is a great option too (great alternative here). You can check out my full roundup of summer basket bags here!
A small clutch or shoulder bag for evenings is great to pack too. The Miu Miu Arcadie Bag is a dreamy splurge, but I also found a similar, structured option at a fraction of the price. Both are perfect for Paris nights out.
Then, let’s talk totes. Not the most practical for all day, but at the same time it makes it easy to carry larger items like a water bottle, umbrella or extra jacket. When I lived in Paris as a student, I carried my Longchamp Le Pliage Bag everywhere, all the time. It’s made of nylon, so it is lightweight, packable and super easy to clean. Plus it makes you feel a bit more secure with both a zipper and button closure.

Accessories
Accessories are where your outfits really come to life, and if you’re packing for Paris, they’re one of the easiest ways to elevate your basics without overpacking your suitcase.
A chic pair of sunglasses is a summer must-have, and these black oval frames look super chic for Paris this season. I’d opt for classic shapes like cat-eye or oversized black frames that go with everything.
A lightweight scarf is another Parisian staple. Tie it around your neck, wrap it in your hair, loop it through your trousers or drape it over your bag, it’s such a simple way to brighten up a neutral look. A silk scarf also makes a lovely souvenir to buy in Paris, especially if you want to treat yourself to one from Hermès or Longchamp while you're there.

Another sunny day accessory is a sun hat. Optional, but it can be practical for Paris picnics, outdoor dining or a day trip to Versailles.
Jewelry can also add interest to your Paris outfits. A pair of statement earrings, a classic watch, and everyday pieces are always on my Paris packing list. And lastly, let’s not forget belts. A slim leather belt can instantly make your outfit feel more intentional.

What to Pack for Paris in June
I’ve already covered what to wear to Paris in June, but there are a few additional essentials that you’ll be thankful you packed.
First, a travel steamer is a game-changer if you have room for it in your luggage. I find that I need it more often in the spring and summer for wrinkle-prone fabrics like cotton, silk and linen.
Since Paris can get quite hot in the summer, I’d also suggest bringing along a small folding fan. It may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but you’ll be glad you have it. Many buildings (cafés, boutiques, and even some hotels) don’t have air conditioning, so having a little fan on hand is helpful for cooling off quickly.
And don’t forget the sunscreen! I wear SPF every day, no matter the season, but it’s especially important if you’ll be outside all day in the city (even on overcast days).
As for the rest of my beauty routine, I like to keep it minimal while traveling. I typically pack along products for a no-makeup makeup look during the day, plus a few beauty essentials to elevate my look for evenings out. A summer perfume would also be in my toiletry bag.
And of course, pack the everyday essentials—underwear, socks, and a cotton pajama set. If you’re looking for more travel must-haves, be sure to check out my carry-on essentials for a long flight.
